Chemo bags of hope by the 31st Mosta Girl Guides

Over the Christmas period, members of the 31st Mosta Girl Guides have distributed around 90 bags to patients undergoing cancer treatment at the SAMOC Day centre, Mater Dei as well as 150 Euro to Puttinu Cares. These bags, which were made from recycled material by Mosta Girl Guides themselves with the help of some parents and other volunteers, consist of various items such as socks and gloves to keep warm, tea, lip balm, hot chocolate powder, cereal bars, as well as pencils and  pencil colours, offer a warm hug to anyone who is going through a difficult time because of their health, so that they continue being strong and do not give up.

This initiative compliments several other good deeds undertaken by the Mosta Girl Guides throughout 2024, during which they contributed towards society, in line with one of their mottos, ‘Lend a Hand’.
