Who We Are

Malta Girl Guides is Malta’s largest, girl-only association!

For over a century, the Malta Girl Guides has empowered girls and young women to develop to their fullest potential as responsible citizens. In 2023, the Malta Girl Guides celebrated a momentous milestone — our centenary year. This landmark year, themed ‘100 Years of Stories’, symbolised a century of transformative experiences for our members and volunteers alike.

Girl Guiding offers a secure space where girls can embrace their true selves, foster personal and social development, all while having fun. Through an engaging program, we provide our members and volunteers with opportunities to develop a sound character, life skills, leadership qualities and a positive sense of direction, while always opening up their world to new opportunities both locally and abroad.

We promote confidence, commitment and resilience; we have seen our members grow more confident, become more outgoing and build true friendships through their Guiding Journey within our Association. It’s a journey we aspire for all our members, present and future, to experience.

Malta Girl Guides is part of something bigger! We became a full member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) in 1972. Through this membership, we are proud to be part of a global community of 10 million members worldwide.
