International Guiding

Malta Girl Guides is part of a worldwide movement that connects girls and young women across cultures, countries and communities.

In 1972, Malta Girl Guides became a full member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). Today, WAGGGS brings together 11.2 million girls and young women across 153 countries, all united by a shared commitment to empowering girls to reach their full potential.

Through international Guiding, our members have opportunities to discover new cultures, build friendships across borders, take part in international events and programmes, and learn more about the world around them.

From Malta to every corner of the globe, we are connected by the values of Guiding and by a shared belief in the power of girls and young women to make a positive difference.
